It’s that time to write again so I thought I would just share a bit of what I’ve been working on for a while and it’s from the Book of John in the Bible. He was so expressive of his heart for Jesus and he knew that Jesus loved him. There was no question of their relationship if one reads this book.
So here goes:
Dear Father, I’m so glad that You love me eternally! I can never be worthy of that love but You just love me because You are Love!!! I thank you that I have life! I thank you that I have Light!!! Your Light shines through any darkness I may be experiencing, so never let go of my hand Lord. How could I navigate without You? I’d truly be a mess!
Truth came, and I’m so glad He did. Help me Lord to be a bearer of the Truth, Light and the Life-a real authentic witness of Him…You…I know Father that You really sent Your Son Jesus into this world, my dark world; personally. I’m so thankful! The Passion Translation says; “He is the living expression“; oh how I love that description of Jesus~He sure was and He sure is! He sure did express Your splendor and glory, mercy and truth; didn’t He? And it took a while for people to recognize the truth of “Who He was…”
Thank you Father that out of His fullness I can be filled and receive grace upon grace with tender mercies; You never run out. I thank you that through revelation I can truly learn who Your Son really is.
He has done so much for me, how can I ever repay Him? I really can’t…other than give Him my life in complete surrender 100%. Nothing else will do! And I have!
Oh that I might continue to believe every word You say! I never want to doubt those things You say~coming from Your heart. And get me off and out of the earth level of things as I get more and more, of a Heavenly perspective, and Your view of things as they really are; Oh Lord! Free me up from the tethered place, oh God! I live to comprehend Your ways and to understand the realms of Your Spirit more, the realms of Your glory!!! Wow!
Oh Lord, set me free also from spirits of tradition and religion that never set anyone free from anything; instead…keep all mankind in bondage. Thank you Lord that I am not a slave to that and I don’t have to walk a broken path. I have said “yes” to Your call and will continue to, for I know that You are Life~~and my very life comes from You; why go anywhere else? I also know that there’s no one greater than You! Really!!!
Ok fellow Family of Travelers….that’s just a sample but it’s my pleasure to be able to share just a bit of my writing project. It’s my desire and hope that somehow in this small offering to the glory of God, that you were blessed and uplifted in some way from My Book of Prayer.
